The DeSoto Parish Library System wrapped up its Summer Reading Program with grand finales full of excitement, recognition, and celebration across all branches.

At Logansport Library, young readers were honored with awards for their hard work and dedication. Completed book logs were celebrated, and a fun-filled raffle ensured that every participant went home with a prize. It was a joyful conclusion to a summer filled with stories, smiles, and reading success.

Mansfield Library hosted a festive celebration recognizing the efforts of all participants. Mrs. Pinkston, the children's librarian, presented reading certificates and organized a prize drawing. The celebration featured a water slide and a visit from Kona Ice, keeping everyone calm and entertained.

Pelican Library ended the reading challenge with an engaging event featuring Mr. Leo and his animal friends from Gator Park. Families enjoyed the interactive animal experience, delicious food, and exciting water slide fun. Special congratulations go to the top readers in the 6–11 age group, who have read an impressive 71 books!

The Stonewall Branch hosted its Grand Finale with an enthusiastic turnout and a day full of fun. Appreciation goes to the dedicated library staff, supportive volunteers, the Friends of the Library, and most importantly, the children who participated and made the program successful.

These celebrations across DeSoto Parish showcased the joy and impact of summer reading. Congratulations to all the young readers who rose to the challenge and made this summer unforgettable. Who says libraries can’t be fun?
