February has arrived, bringing a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Library Lovers' Month at the DeSoto Parish Library! This month-long celebration is for everyone who loves the library—whether you're a frequent visitor, a casual stop-in, or a passionate reader. It's the perfect time to come together, enjoy exciting prizes, and participate in fun activities highlighting all the library has to offer!

Exciting Prize Drawings for All Ages

Throughout February, the library hosts a prize drawing for adults, teens, and children. Patrons can earn entries into the drawing by simply checking out materials from the library. Here's how it works:

• Adults & Teens: For every three items checked out, you will receive one entry form for a chance to win a fantastic prize.
• Children: For each book checked out, young readers will receive a special Valentine's treat and an entry into the prize drawing.

“Blind Date with a Book” Event

In addition to the prize drawing, the library hosts a “Blind Date with a Book” event for adults, youths,  and children. Participants will randomly select a wrapped book, and with each selection, they’ll earn an entry into the grand prize drawing.

Grand Prize Drawing

The grand prize drawing will occur on February 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM, and the winner will be announced at the library. Don’t miss your chance to win prizes, explore new books, genres, and authors, and participate in this fun community event.
