Mansfield Library Highlights Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Posted: Oct 7, 2024, 4:02 PM

This October, the Mansfield Library proudly showcases a special Breast Cancer Awareness Month display. This initiative is significant for Mrs. Doris Ross, the library’s Branch Manager and a 19-year breast cancer survivor.

Mrs. Ross has dedicated herself to maintaining this display as a source of encouragement and hope for the community. “I want to inspire everyone to stand strong and fight against cancer,” she shared. “Don’t lose hope—cancer can be defeated. I am living proof of that.”

Reflecting on her journey, Mrs. Ross expressed gratitude for the Lord’s graciousness throughout her battle. “With faith, nothing is impossible,” she emphasized, urging others to remain steadfast in their fight against the disease.

The display not only highlights the importance of early detection and support but also celebrates the resilience of those who have faced breast cancer. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the library to learn more and show their support during this vital month. Together, let’s raise awareness and foster hope in our community!
